What personal data we collect and why we collect it

By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However some of our plugins may collect data, such as traffic volume.

We have  disabled comments on this site effective 6.6.2018.

Prior to that time: an anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone. We do not intentionally share data with any third party service to the best of our knowledge.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. As of 6.6.2018, we do not accept new comments.

No users can register on our website.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments prior to 6.6.2018, it may still be viewable on the site. You can also request that we erase any comment provided by you.  This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

We use an international web hosting service, and any data that is collected by them in the course of their service is outside our knowledge or access.

An automated spam detection service, is in operation.
